The Path of Wisdom and Compassion
with Prayers for World Peace

Everyone is looking for happiness and wants to be free from problems and suffering.  This course offers a special presentation of Buddha’s teachings on compassion and wisdom that is easy to understand and put into practice.  By developing andmaintaining compassion and wisdom in daily like in daily life, we can transform our lives, improve our relationship with others, and look behind appearances to see the way things actually exist.  In this way we can solve all our daily problems and accomplish the real meaning of our human life.  With compassion and wisdom, like the two wings of a bird, we can quickly reach the enlightened world of a Buddha.  
 
These classes include two guided meditations, a talk, and inspiring chanted prayers for world peace.
 
Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes before class to sign in and get settled. No Buddhist background or previous meditation experience required.

Steve Maddox

Steve is a long time Buddhist practitioner who is greatly admired for his heartfelt and informative teachings at Tushita Kadampa Buddhist Center. He has been in study programs for ten years and has received teachings from many qualified teachers. He often refers to the text during his teachings because the language is so beautiful and alone has the power to penetrate our heart. He mixes reflective listening of Dharma texts in meditation contemplations as often as possible.
