Living Meaningfully

Wednesdays in July
12:00 - 1:00 pm

With our human life, we have the best possible conditions to make spiritual progress. Recognising this opportunity is the key to living a meaningful life. If we are aware that our life is precious, rare and meaningful we will use it in the best possible way.

Also, although we know intellectually that our time is limited, and that we shall definitely pass from this life, generally this knowledge remains in our head and doesn’t touch our heart. Becoming deeply aware of our own impermanence has a profound, positive effect on how we live our everyday life.

In this series, Kelsang Jima will guide meditations and give teachings on how we start moving on a new path in life which will lead to supreme inner peace and happiness.  These practical teachings will not only benefit our self, but others in our lives as well.

Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes before class to sign in and get settled. No Buddhist background or previous meditation experience required. You may drop-in any week or attend the entire series!

Kelsang Jima

Kelsang Jima is a long time Kadampa Buddhist practitioner, and ordained nun. She found Dharma when her husband, Jim, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and it greatly helped the challenging years that followed. Jima teaches Dharma by bringing it into our daily lives and transforming adverse conditions into the Path. She teaches from the heart through readings from Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s texts and also examples of experience in her own life as a nurse and caretaker for over 40 years.
