A Peaceful space

Tushita Kadampa Buddhist Center was established by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche in 2000 to offer meditation and Buddhism in Olympia and the South Sound. We provide everyone with the opportunity to listen to, contemplate, and meditate on the ancient teachings of Buddha in a modern setting.

Tushita Kadampa Buddhist Center is part of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU), a non-profit organization with a global network of over 1,200 centers and groups in over 45 countries.

As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Tushita Kadampa Buddhist Center is run solely by volunteers. During open hours there are volunteers who can answer any questions and tell you more about the Center. We offer regular drop-in classes, half-day courses, retreats for both beginners and those with an established meditation practice, and structured study programs for those looking for deeper study and meditation. Located in downtown Olympia Tushita Kadampa Buddhist Center is a peaceful oasis where anyone can learn methods to experience lasting happiness through wisdom and meditation. Everyone is welcome!
