Introduction to Tantra:
Awakening Our Buddha Nature

THURSDAYS
April 13 - May 18
6 - 7:15pm

Through the beautiful teachings of Tantra we can learn how to transform our ordinary world into a pure world.

In the Tantric teachings Buddha explained how to transform our ordinary self into a pure self. The Tantric path helps us move away from our ordinary view of who we are and the ordinary idea of who we can become. It gives us step by step instructions of the inner transformation into a pure being.

If we are to achieve our spiritual potential we need to train in tantric technology using faith, compassion, imagination, and very skillful meditations to let go of the views that keep us limited and enjoy the experience of relating to our pure potential.

In his Sutra teachings Buddha gives us great encouragement to accomplish the ultimate goal of human life. This goal will be accomplished quickly through the practice of Tantra. Tantra, also known as ‘Secret Mantra’ or ‘Vajrayana’, is a special method to purify our world, our self, our enjoyments and our activities; and if we put this method into practice we shall very quickly attain enlightenment.

In today’s society we are very knowledgeable about our human body, all its organs and systems, cells and tissues. We are less familiar with the subtle anatomy of our body, which is critical for experiencing and realizing our more subtle levels of consciousness.

In these classes, Gen Rinzin will give clear explanations of what, why, and how we can move from the mundane world of delusion to the pure world of Highest Yoga Tantra. We will also be introduced to Buddha’s teachings on our body’s subtle system of channels, drops and winds, also known as the vajra body. It is through our knowledge and meditation on these subtle features of our body that we can gradually manifest our root mind of clear light and accomplish great bliss.

This course is suitable for everyone, particularly those who are new to Tantra or are interested in taking Highest Yoga Tantra empowerment at this year’s International Summer Festival.
