We have some really cool events we host in the fall to benefit the Center.
This year our annual fundraiser, the Walk for Peace, will take place at beautiful Powderworks Park, a local gem nestled in the heart of DuPont. From the park we will walk to the beach, led by our very own teacher and monk, Gen Kelsang Wangpo.
Registration ~ 10:00am
Hike ~ 10:30am – 12:30pm
Tasty vegetarian BBQ ~ 12:30.
It’s a great way to enjoy the outdoors and help Tushita Kadampa Buddhist Center support peaceful solutions to problems in the world–something that is urgently needed at this time. For auspiciousness we would like to ask each fundraiser to set a goal of at least $108 or more.
For 13 years the Center has offered classes in Olympia, and in Tacoma, Shelton, Puyallup, Chehalis and other communities, helping thousands of people discover sources of inner peace through meditation. Funds raised by hikers will help the Center continue to offer a wide range of educational programs.
You can be part of this peaceful transformation which so needed in our world at this time. By joining a team (Team Olympia, Team Tacoma, or Team Tushita) and asking people to contribute to your hike or to join you on the walk, you will help increase the power of the wishes shared by so many people–that there be peace in the world and places that promote peace.
Our goal is to raise $6200. Please contribute at whatever level you can, either by asking others to sponsor you or by making an individual donation.
Also, if you are unable to attend, please consider sponsoring a walker or a team.
Join us for our Good Karma Bowl-A-Rama! Each year we hang out for a couple of fun games of bowling and a great time hanging out with our TKBC friends.
Tushita KBC runs completely on donations and class fees from our kind students and benefactors. We hope you’ll join us for this end-of-term party that helps to benefit countless people in the South Sound region.
All ages welcome! You do not have to bowl to attend; feel free to come out to cheer on your friends!
